Elizabeth Davies has been doing barbershop nonstop since discovering the World’s Greatest Hobby seven years ago. When not directing Sound Harmony Chorus, she serves as assistant director of A Cappella Joy Chorus; assistant director of Song of Seattle Chorus; associate director of the Seattle SeaChordsmen; musical director of Cloud Nine, a women’s triple-quartet performance ensemble; lead of LiftOff! Quartet; and Creative Mentor for the Path With Art Singers, a local nonprofit which assists individuals transitioning from abuse, addiction, homelessness, and other trauma, using the arts as a path to personal healing and community engagement.
Elizabeth joined Sound Harmony in 2017 as director and has been a member of Sweet Adelines since 2010. Here's some fun facts about Elizabeth:
Favorite Sound Harmony song: Whatever we’re singing at the moment! :-)
Favorite part about being a Sweet Adeline: the intimacy and the satisfaction that results from weaving voices together at a high level of proficiency
Fun Fact: I am associate director of a men’s barbershop chorus, the Seattle SeaChordsmen, and I sing tenor in a mixed quartet. Men’s barbershop is my second-favorite kind of barbershop! :-)
